Opening Functions
-
Our uPVC windows are crafted to make your home feel warmer, brighter, and more comfortable. Designed with Scandinavian principles of light, simplicity, and long-lasting performance, every window is manufactured in Europe using high-quality materials and precision engineering.
Our windows are offered in a variety of opening functions, suitable for different configurations and safety requirements. Available in both flush and rebated profiles, all windows can be personalised with a wide choice of colours or wood effect finishes, handles, and glazing options to complement the style of your home.
Side Hung Windows
Side hung casement windows are hinged at the side and open outward like a door. This classic design offers excellent ventilation and easy access for cleaning, making it a popular choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and ground floor spaces. The wide opening allows plenty of fresh air into your home while maximising natural light and uninterrupted views.
Top Hung Window
Top hung casement windows (sometimes referred to as awning-style windows) are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom. This design allows fresh air to flow in while keeping the handle in easy reach, making them ideal for upper floors, kitchens, bathrooms, and rooms that face paths or patios.
Reversible Window
Reversible windows use a specialised hinge mechanism that allows the sash to rotate round 170 degrees, making the external glass easy to clean safely from inside the building - particularly on upper floors. They’re often specified where ongoing maintenance access is important, while still providing ventilation and a clean, modern appearance, depending on the chosen configuration.
Inward Opening Side Hung
Inward opening windows are designed to open into your living space, offering a practical solution where external space is limited - such as near pathways, patios or balconies. Because the sash opens inward, they’re protected from strong winds and are less exposed to the elements over time. They also allow for controlled ventilation and easy access to hardware and glazing from inside the home, making day-to-day living that little bit simpler.
Tilt and Turn Windows
Tilt and turn windows offer two opening positions in one design: tilt inwards at the top for gentle, secure ventilation, or turn inwards from the side for a wide opening and easy cleaning. It’s a popular choice for modern homes, upper floors, and anywhere you want flexible airflow with everyday practicality.

Yes. uPVC (unplasticised PVC) is more rigid and durable, making it ideal for windows and doors. PVC contains plasticisers, making it flexible and unsuitable for window frames.
In most cases, uPVC windows replace the entire frame to ensure proper sealing, insulation, and compliance with safety standards. Our sales team will confirm what’s appropriate for your home.
Very secure. Our windows include multi-point locking systems, reinforced frames, and high-performance glazing to meet stringent safety requirements.
uPVC offers excellent insulation and affordability, while aluminium provides a slimmer, architectural look with exceptional strength. Both deliver strong performance—the right choice depends on your design goals and budget.
