Flexible window configurations to suit your space

Window configuration determines how a window opens, how many sashes it includes and how it functions within your home. Our systems are designed to offer flexibility in opening function, and in configuration combinations to allow creation of many different styles.

Designed to Work Around Your Home

Flexible layouts that support everyday living

The way your windows are configured has a big influence on how your home feels and functions every day. From how fresh air flows through a room to how easily a window opens, cleans, and fits into your space, configuration choices help shape both comfort and usability.

At DOVISTA, we design window configurations to work around your home, not the other way around. By offering a range of opening functions and flexible sash layouts, we make it easy to create windows that suit your room layout, lifestyle, and architectural style - all while maintaining clean sightlines, smooth operation, and long-term reliability.

Opening Functions

Opening styles that support how you use your home

Side-hung Opening

Side-hung windows open outwards on side hinges, making them easy to operate and ideal for everyday ventilation. This opening style allows you to control airflow precisely, while also providing clear views and straightforward cleaning access when paired with suitable hardware.

Top-hung Opening

Top-hung windows are hinged at the top and open outwards from the bottom, allowing fresh air to circulate while maintaining a level of privacy and safety. They are particularly well suited to kitchens, bathrooms, and upper floors, where controlled ventilation is important.

Fixed (non-opening) Sections

Fixed windows are designed purely to let in light and create uninterrupted views. With no moving parts, they offer excellent thermal performance and a clean, minimal appearance, making them ideal for feature glazing or areas where ventilation is not required.

Combined Opening and Fixed Layouts

By combining opening windows with fixed sections, you can create larger glazed areas without compromising practicality. This approach allows you to maximise daylight and views, while ensuring ventilation and usability are positioned exactly where you need them.
